Subject: What is this (movie) song? From: TIA Date: 28 May 03 - 11:29 PM Just saw the movie "Tuck Everlasting" with William Hurt and Sissy Spacek. Anyone know the name of the tune that figures prominently (the music box in the movie plays it)? It sounds Dorian or Mixolydian -- Scots/Irish/Appalachian perhaps? Thanks in advance. TIA |

Subject: RE: What is this (movie) song? - from Tuck Everlasting From: NicoleC Date: 29 May 03 - 10:40 PM According to the IMDB, the 2002 version of Tuck Everlasting has an original score by William Ross, a very prolific composer. The soundtrack is available at Amazon. The Amazon page also has some links to audio samples -- you might find the exact one you are looking for. |

It sounds like a modal fiddle tune, but it's not one I recognize, and it's possible that Ross, the composer, created it for this movie. Blessings, Barbara |
