to the tune of la Cucaracha'

Obama Limbo
Obama Limbo
The great debate of love and hate
Obama Limbo
Obama Limbo
From the fires of hell to Pearly Gate   da da da

Never since the Lincoln Douglas debates or the Jefferson Adams debates have we seen such a match up.

All kidding aside, Obama knows all too well not to get in a pissing contest with a skunk but since Limbaugh has called their bluff, wouldn't it be interesting to speculate on how it would go.

R. L.
Thank you Mr. Barack Hussein Obama for coming to my studio.

Thats OK Rush, I understand you don't like to travel too far away from your stash...and you can call me Mr. President.

Well, that's some funny stuff, Donuel but...

...me thinks there is at least a little Karl Rove in Rahm Emanual who concocted this this little spat between Limburger and Uncle Tom Steel...

Hey, it didn't cost the Dems anything and now has the Repubs fighting amongst themseleves...

Nice little stink bomb... No make that very nice little stink bomb...

Steele was on the Hughly show and got carried away with a brother when he called Limbaugh ugly.
Since Steele's apology, he has lost all his true colors and speaks in the muted tones of a defeated man.

It takes no imagination to agree with Rush that he is head of the Republican party. If simply agreeing with Rush is Rovian, I'm a duck. Its more like Cheney ...shooting fish in a barrel.

Just like it takes a Republican no bid contract to build showers that electrocute our soldiers, it takes Rush Limbaugh to drag the Republican party down to its lowest common denominator...which is Rush Limbaugh.

The ONLY thing that the Republicans pray for right now is to have the former administration prosecuted for high crimes and misdeamenors as well as ileagally overturning the Constitution.
ONLY by having martyrs on the cross to weep for can they get any sympathy from their rapidly eroding base.

Even Specter asked for torturer prosecutions today. If the Senate takes the bait saying we are not a country of chumps, then the Republican approval rating will saor 20 points. What is just is not always politically smart.

However I think there will be an ideal time to take down those mysterious people who were in charge of the Bush administration that did all those unconstitutional crimes. NO more scape goating a Bush employee. The guys in charge need to account for their deeds.
Wait for about a month after some top level Hege fund managers, invesment bankers and shadow bank criminals go to REGULAR prison.
also NO more country club prisons for white trillion dollar thieves.
I for one would visit them, if only to give them a free tat with a dirty needle or peanuts from Georgia.

I guess pretending you are Rush arguing with Barak is a fairly ugly exercise. but funny enough for an SNL skit.

Ron Reagan (yes, the former President's son - who now has a syndicated radio talk show) has a couple of phone numbers set up for listeners to call in and offer "apologies" to Lush Rimbo ... er, Rush Limbaugh.

One is an on-air phone number - (212) 871-8270 - just for during the broadcasts. The other is an any time voice message recorder.   (I can't find that phone number at the moment, but you can post your apologies HERE.
So if you want to offer Rush an apology, for whatever reason, you can do it there.

back to the debate...

RL
I...hope yu fail Mr. President.

BO
Do you mean me or the policies and plans to get the American people back on their feet?

RL
I mean both. Only by you dragging the people of this great nation down in depression will people get it. I also hope your family fails.

BO
I am sorry you think that way.

RL
Its about time you apologized! NOW I AM GOING TO USE THE N- WORD
NATIONALIZE
Thats right but we should never nationalize the banks which my employers...I mean where the hardest working wealthy people would lose not only their bank but the freedom to do anything they want in America.

BO
No one is above the law. Doing what is best for the greatest number of Americans is what we strive to accomplish. Also I have never heard of any recovery plan from the Republicans except for eliminating taxation of the rich people who brought down the economy.

RL
Yes indeed we have a plan but instead of nationalizing the banks...WE WOULD NATIONALIZE THE LAZY POOR!
Once we own them we would deal with them like any asset -
we would liquidate our assets.

BO
Security !?

SNL didn't even bother to send rejection letters. But these are times of hope and an emergence from a de facto dictatorship. A few ideas here I have stolen were from Colbert which now probably has the most creative sritting staff ever seem on TV. They had an idea for an emergency stimuls plan which was an emergency Christmas declared for March 25th
The Daily show had a great expose of Wall Street cable shows lying to the country over the years by showing the actual show clips.
priceless   Rick Santelli ( the anti mortgage help ranter ) was booked for the show but canceled in the last minute.

I bet we will see some sort of Limbo skit this week.

What time is it, boys and girls?

It's SCHADENFREUDE TIME!!!

This from a very conservative WSJ columnist:

First he talks about people in the market who "must feel they are living through the exploding rubble of some Hollywood movie".

Then it gets better:

"In reaction, Republicans, true to form, set sail for a deserted island to ponder a dispute between Rush Limbaugh and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele. At issue: Who's captain of the GOP Titanic".

True enough Ron, my neighbor tok a GOP cruise in the Carribean last summer. Recently the GPAC had another cruise. Partly gifts to the faithful and partly a "working" cruise, they are very happy not to pay taxes for the trip.

do I smell a whistle blower?

This is rich, it says here the Stimulus Program Initiative Team, otherwise know as SPIT (Rush then litteraly spits) has announced that if you can prove you have junked and crushed your 9 year old, or older car, and buy a new one the goverment will give you $3,000 cash.
Rush spits again.

BO
I have said if a program works we will use it. Germany has had a 22% rise in their auto sales since adopting this program. *

RL
Well mein feurher, (spits again) whats good for Germany is good for GM? Who came up with that idea, SPIT or Marx?

BO
(spits at Rush while saying... spit, for short, has some of the greatest economic minds in the world working on our stimulus package.

RL
(starts to lunge but is restrained by Secret Service gurads Clint Eastwood and Micheal Douglas.)
Rush yells "you know what? President Bush may have trumped up a lot of phoney terror and fear alerts but You and your economic crises HAS FEAR YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!!

(Secret service tries to apply a straight jacket...)
Clint Eastwood..."I don't think we have one big enough"

HE IS TRYING TO ACCELERATE FAILURE...

by spreading the rumor that the FDIC is broke and that people better take all their moneuy out of all the banks before it is too late.

Will the future write that Rush caused a rush on the banks?

SNL had Micheal Steele fitted with a painful electrode on his skull that shocked him everytime he said anything in which Rush Limbaugh does not believe in.

The talking points for the ditto heads is now "Let all the car companies and banks FAIL!"

Republicans are covered in the event when parts of banks and car companies are nationalized.

That we nationalize these firms to be resold without debilitating debt is putting "COUNTRY FIRST" don't you think?

I think Bobert should buy GM

Frankly, I agree with Doug R- because - and only because - Obama takes time to think and consider. Rush doesn't know what that is.

Truthfully, Doug, when you listen to Limbaugh, aren't you embarrassed for him?

Obama has spoken quite a few times without a teleprompter.   Do you suppose he had a teleprompter when he ran for Senate in 2004?

It's not at all clear Rush could survive in any environment other than entertaining dittoheads.

If the audience were not enraptured with his combination of "white victimhood" yet "bitingly humorous" (Financial Times) , the clock cleaned might well be his.

Also, it might well be interesting to amble down Memory Lane and see what other political predictions Doug has made.

Even without that, I think we already know how seriously to take anything he says.   But coarse language is not called for. We all need a foil. The benevolent god of Mudcat entertainment has sent him to us.

His comic relief--since sense is not expected--is greatly appreciated.

Keep it up, Doug. MInd the music and the step--and have a good birthday.

RL
Mr. President Barak, who's sane as Marx, Lenin and Stalin, why do you drag America into Socialism and Communism when you know these systems have failed and failed miserably?

BO
Actually I have restored democracy after nearly a decade when courts decided elections, when the 1st and 4th ammendment of our Constitution were abused, when torture became the rule and the Geneva conventions were abandoned, when corporations and think tanks wrote the laws and the people were marginalized like no other time in history.
I..

RL
All you ever do is bash Bush. Is that all you can do? All you ever do? You sir constantly smear the good name of a war president, and that smell a lot like treason to me and to the good real Americans of this country.

BO
I assure you Rush that more Americans hope our country succeeds despite your call to fail.

RL No sir, I said I hope you fail, not the country. YOu are not the country. You are not Abraham Lincoln, I wish you were but you are not.

BO
You are not the Pisllbury dough boy, but I wish you were.

OK, here come the Nazi analogies.... guess it was only a matter of time.

No, Ron, Gleichschaltung is the tactic favored by Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Alberto Gonzales, the "swiftboat" crew and other of Douggie's favorite BuShite heroes, and by Old Man Nugatory himself from time to time.

Douggie's quiyte free to continue on with his childish "parrot the bullshit" shtick (now THERE'S "stultifyingly boring"!), and I'm free to call him on it.

P.S. Think you've made a typo above: shouldn't that read "transparent fool"?
