In the last year of compiled stats there have only been two positive ratings of +3 in July and +3 in October 2025 out of all of the polls covered. Also the last Fox News poll was -20 in April this year. If Fox fans think he stinks, then he must really stink. And in bad news for Oz, we have a nasty, small-minded tRump imitator i.e. Senator Pauline Hanson with her fake red hair and her billionaire supporter. Gina Rinehart says Queensland should give some of its islands to Elon Musk - and put Israeli bases in Oz to produce military weapons. Scary! Subject: RE: Drumpf - Epstein Friend/ US Prez 47/ War Criminal* From: Backwoodsman Date: 19 Jun 26 - 02:21 AM From Michael Jochum on FB this morning. How right he is, and appropriate, IMO, for a music Forum like Mudcat… “Bruce Springsteen is what a real patriot looks like in a country that’s forgotten the meaning of the word. Not the flag-waving cosplay version. Not the chest-thumping, fear-selling, violence-justifying parody. The real thing. The quiet kind. The moral kind. The kind rooted in conscience, decency, and the stubborn belief that democracy is worth defending even when it’s under assault. I’ve been hearing a bit of the old, “just play the drums and let the politics go,” as though artists are meant to be decorative wallpaper while the country marches in lockstep with authoritarianism. That argument has always been intellectually lazy, but in moments like this, it becomes morally bankrupt. Bruce is a shining example of a man whose music has never been separate from his conscience, because real art has never existed in some sterilized vacuum, untouched by the times that shape it. I had the opportunity to play with Bruce and spend a little time with him in Atlantic City, and I can tell you this firsthand: the man is the real deal. A true American authentic. No artifice. No manufactured persona. Just substance, conviction, and a deeply rooted understanding of what this country is supposed to be. When Bruce writes a song like Streets of Minneapolis, or his epic Land of Hope and Dreams he performed today at the ceremony for the opening of the Barack Obama Presidential Center, he isn’t chasing relevance; he’s answering a call, the same call he’s answered his entire life, to stand with ordinary people, the vulnerable, the voiceless, the broken, the forgotten, the ones caught under the boots of power. He wrote it in days, recorded it in hours, released it immediately, not for charts, not for sales, not for applause, but because silence in moments like this is complicity, and he has never been built that way. He names the dead. He names the violence. He names the lies. He names the machinery of fear. He refuses to sanitize state terror with polite language. He refuses to hide behind ambiguity. He refuses to make comfort music for uncomfortable times. This is what courage looks like in art. This is what democracy sounds like when it still has a pulse. And Bruce himself said it better than most: “We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair, the cavalry is coming. We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution and our sacred American dream, all of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C.” That is not division. That is citizenship. That is what it sounds like when someone actually loves their country enough to defend it. Bruce has always sung for the steelworkers, the veterans, the immigrants, the outsiders, the factory ghosts, the working poor, the dreamers, the broken, the believers, the ones trying to live decent lives in an indecent system. And now, when the country feels as though it’s cracking under the weight of authoritarianism, he’s still standing in the same place: on the side of human dignity. That’s not politics. That’s character. That’s patriotism in its purest form. When he sings about Minneapolis, about the dead, about bloody footprints where mercy should have stood, he’s doing what true Americans do: refusing to look away, refusing to forget, refusing to let power rewrite the story. In a time of fear, he chooses truth. In a time of propaganda, he chooses witness. In a time of fascist noise, he chooses conscience. Bruce Springsteen doesn’t belong to a party. He belongs to the American soul that still believes in democracy, still rejects authoritarianism, still understands that freedom without empathy is just brutality with branding. He is proof that patriotism doesn’t come from dominance; it comes from solidarity. It doesn’t come from force; it comes from moral courage. It doesn’t come from power; it comes from standing with people when it costs you something. That’s why his voice matters. That’s why this song matters. That’s why he matters, not as a celebrity, not as an icon, but as a citizen who understands that loving your country sometimes means standing against what it’s becoming. That’s not rebellion. That’s responsibility. That’s The Boss. -Michael Jochum, Not Just a Drummer: Reflections on Art, Politics, Dogs, and the Human Condition.” |

Subject: RE: Drumpf - Epstein Friend/ US Prez 47/ War Criminal* From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 21 Jun 26 - 08:13 PM Trump's limited capacity to sway Israel spells trouble for the Middle East As more detail has emerged about the "understanding" signed by Iran and the United States this week, the more analysts have been shocked by just how high a strategic and financial price Donald Trump was prepared to pay to get the Strait of Hormuz reopened. That is, just how diabolically bad a "deal" this really is. But what has also been revealed has been the glaring gap between reality and the deluded mindset in the Trump administration that believes it is not only in control of Israel, but the wider world. "The United States of America", point seven of the US-Iran agreement says, "undertakes to terminate all types of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the United Nations Security Council resolutions, i.e. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors resolutions and all unilateral U.S. sanctions, primary and secondary, in an agreed upon schedule". Er, pardon? The US is committing the United Nations to drop its sanctions against Iran? The US didn't run the UN, even in the days when it believed in it. And needless to say there is no suggestion that anyone actually ran this idea past members of the UN. Those UN sanctions commit all member countries to comply with them. The EU confirmed this week that it would not be "automatically" dropping its sanctions ... ... Point one of the agreement says: "The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their allies in the current war, by signing this MOU, declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon. "The final deal will confirm the permanent termination of the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon and other provisions of this paragraph." (read on) Iran weekly briefing: Trump threatens Iran's negotiators as two sides meet for talks ... "You close [the Strait of Hormuz] and you won't have a country," Mr Trump said he'd told Iranian officials, during a phone interview with Fox News. "You won't even make it back to your f***ing country." ... |

Subject: RE: Drumpf - Epstein Friend/ US Prez 47/ War Criminal* From: Helen Date: 01 Jul 26 - 03:52 PM But wait, there's more than just crypto greed: Trump has revealed his financial statement. "US President Donald Trump earned more than $US1.4 billion ($2 billion) from several cryptocurrency ventures, according to his latest financial disclosure. "It highlights just how central the crypto industry has become to his business empire." "The almost 1,000-page filing, released by the US Office of Government Ethics, offers a detailed snapshot of the president’s finances during his first year back in office. "Barack Obama’s and Joe Biden’s were eight and 11 pages long in 2015 and 2023, respectively. "Because many of the amounts listed on the disclosure form are reported as ranges, it is difficult to state exactly how much Mr Trump earned last year. "However, here’s a snapshot of some of the president’s finances." Summary: $1.4 billion on crypto, $370,000 on gifts [note: the gold encrusted aeroplane is not included in the list for some reason], $4.7million on tRump branded watches, $290 million on real estate, $259,000 on a statue, $80 million on lawsuit settlements. "What about Melania Trump and JD Vance? "US First Lady Melania Trump is generating significant income through separate ventures. "She reported $US10.7 million in net proceeds from a licensing agreement connected to her self-titled documentary film, Melania. "According to the disclosure, the first lady also reported more than $US6 million in income from another licensing agreement covering non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are digital images sold online. "Meanwhile, US Vice-President JD Vance’s 17-page disclosure reported income from his book, investment holdings and Bitcoin valued between $US250,000 and $US500,000." |
