Where do they come from?
(The blind men.)
Why do they all fall in?
I don't know.

The blind men describing the elephant conotes a very real and understandable historical human dynamic.

In a way so does a line of blind people behaving like lemmings but does not have the richness in the mind's eye of the elephant and blind men when viewed by the comparative omnicient observer with the benefit of sight.
