In recent years, US television advertising creators have figured out how the 'hook' of music recordings added as soundtracks to ads are really effective. As Dale pointed out, Charlotte Church is now on a Ford ad. There is a Hawaiian singer (passed away) whose voice I love and who is legendary in Hawaii, Israel (Iz) Kamakawiwo'ole. I mentioned him on the Gilligan's Island thread. He does an awesome medley of Over The Rainbow/Wonderful World. The beginning of it can now be heard on a tv ad for a website for kids. You hear the ukulele first, but the commercial ends after a few bars of him humming, before he begins to sing Over the Rainbow.

The CD with this song by Israel is called "Facing Future" in case you are interested in getting it.

Aw geez Alice...this one is about to drive me nuta and Karen isn't here to help. I-f-H "Rainbow/World" was just use in a movie as the ending song...but WHAT MOVIE??? Read this thread and thought..."Yeah, that was just in...(BLANK)".....Do you know?
