Subject: French Songs From: Amos Date: 26 Jan 00 - 04:56 PM I'm interested to know if anyone has the full lyrics to some of the French songs I stuffed into my repertoire incomplete many years ago. They include:
Le Cheval Blanc (Brassens)
and the old bawdy song about the King and Queen Victoria!
Thanks in advance, Amos |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: French Songs From: Amos Date: 26 Jan 00 - 08:03 PM Damn, that's great! I had truncated some of the good parts, but that last line has always stayed with me -- et qu'il pourraient tirer! Kapow!! Thanks so very much! Amos |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: French Songs From: GUEST,Don Date: 26 Jan 00 - 08:15 PM Here's a URL that seems pretty complete (I saw that Le Gorille was there, for example - I could have typed it out for you, but if you can find it online already, it saves some work, right?) (and notice that it's not "ils pourraient tirer"...but "ils pourront tirer" - not that they 'could' fire, but that they 'will be able to' fire...) http://www.math.umn.edu/~foursov/chansons/index.html |
