Subject: BS: A just comparison and apology From: Donuel Date: 17 Jul 04 - 11:57 PM http://www.angelfire.com/md2/customviolins/bushlincoln1.jpg For those of you how have died under Bush command, because of Bush commands as well as those of you who are about to die, I offer my apology and my commitment that you shall not have died in vain. My apology is for my hedonistic laziness that allowed the government of the people, by the people and for the people to fall into the hands of profiteers while I wiled away the hours in virtual entertainment. I was not tricked, I knew the people and the designs they have on this country since I was a boy. None dared call them the enemy for they marched under the banner of God and Billy Graham claiming an exclusivity of Americanism. I let every financial trick and legal dodge steal the bizarre election without the protest that others who were paid to yell outside the election office, accomplished with ease. This travesty happened under my watch. I am sorry. The earthly cares and burdens you had to lay down are now in part my responsibility. I will gather up my share and carry them with you in mind. My commitment is to dedicate my full energy and resources to end the regime of endless war and prosecute an enemy of this nation which killed you as surely as those who planted the bomb or fired the gun, to give birth to a new freedom in this land that stands above multinational investment and insure the peace, tranquility and protection of the families you left behind. Sincerely Donald A Hakman |

Subject: RE: BS: A just comparison and apology From: CarolC Date: 19 Jul 04 - 03:46 PM Neocon Riots Rock DC "Large areas of the nation's capital were in ruins as violent protests continued for the third day against a bill that would revive the military draft, but only for neoconservatives. The bill, officially called the Bellicose Resources Deployment Act but informally known as the Roast Chickenhawk Initiative, would supplement the nation's dwindling supplies of mindless belligerence by drawing on inexhaustible deposits found in seething think tanks, frothing newspaper columns, fulminating talk-radio programs, frenzied Sunday morning television and publications owned by Australians. It would then be shipped to the Middle East, where it is urgently needed. The bill, explicitly requiring people who have never been in combat to serve in the wars they start, would affect thousands of neoconservatives in Washington and New York. It was strongly opposed by the Bush Administration on the grounds that it would leave most of the Administration's upper-level positions vacant, including the presidency and vice-presidency, but it was left unattended on President Bush's desk and he inadvertently signed it after deciding it looked too long and too hard to read first...
