I'm visiting Harris around 25th August for about a week, my No2 son is doing some work for his Geography degree and I've been volunteered to drive him up from Manchester.

Could someone please advise of any sings / music sessions I could attend on Harris?

Cheers,

John

What Oh John me old fruit! What a co-incidence. My son #2 is up thereabouts that week as well although he is camping on the mainland and visiting Lewis for part of it.

His girlfriend might take her bodhran. I suggested it would be good for rowing between the islands in...

Cheers

Dave

Ey up Dave! I'll PM you my mobile telephone number, if they find any music perhaps they could let me know. Harris and Lewis are joined up so transport between the two is no problem.

What are they doing up there?

Cheers,

John

Does anybody actually live on Harris these days?

You would have a far better chance of finding a session by driving to Stornoway.

Don't forget to visit Callanish while you're in Lewis.

Hi Murray, I was hoping not to have to travel too far but if Stornoway is where the action is, well so be it. Thanks for the note on Callanish, I hadn't heard of it before. A search on Google brought up some splendind pictures, I'll certainly pay the place a visit.

We're staying at Am Bothan bunkhouse for much of our stay, although one or two nights will involve a backpacking trip.

Cheers,

John
