Well I am glad to say that after having read this I am quite happy in my job....

I will not be volunteering to be a fuller, Groom of the Stool, Gong Scourer (nothing to do with music, or a violin string maker.

Worst jobs in history

I'm going for "Wise Woman" although the worm stew will be strictly veggie!

there was recently a photo circulating on the internet
of a training maneuver of a naval squad where a diver
was suspended from a helicopter by a ladder, and a
shark was leapoing out of the water attempting to
take a bite out of him or devour him.

this photo ws going around a few years ago
as it turns out it was a hoax..two pix
cut and pasted...one of copter training
and another of a shark in south africa.

That's a good list but I still think my least preferred job would be guano harvesting in Peru. 1.5 tons per day for fifty cents. Damned workers kept leaping off the cliffs to their deaths when they didn't feel like working.

there was a film

http://www.koyaanisqatsi.org/
or POWAQQATSI that had incredibgle
footage of tin miners in bolivia
crawling up and down a pit mine
with bags of ore on their heads.
as i recall they were literally
stepping on each other to get out.

there is a trilogy of films by
Godfrey Reggio with little if any
dialogue, and striking images with
surreal musical sound track by Philip Glass.
