I'm still working on playlists for Utah Phillips' Loafer's Glory program, and I have started to go back and research things I didn't get first time through.

On Phillips' third program, on busking, he played a song called "Street Singer's Heaven" and credited it to "Pop Wagner and Bobby Bovee". I haven't been able to find any trace of either the singers or the song on the net. Anyone know the story on this? Do I have the names right?

(I know I could ask Phillips, but he doesn't do email, and besides I hate to bother him.)

Bob Bovee is now playing old time music with his wife Gail Heil. They are still around. Yes, Bob is author or co-author of the song. I know they have recorded it too, but don't have it right to hand to tell you the title.

Thank you, Phil. That closes another hole in my archive.   Good song.

Thanks Brucie. I misspoke earlier; I did find that reference. But it didn't tell me what I needed to know.   It's always good to know all the good things that are going on out there.   I've collected several CDs that I first ran across doing this project, and they've all been excellent.
