Subject: RE: Cindy Kallet & Grey Larsen Concert Maine From: Charley Noble Date: 02 Jan 11 - 05:19 PM Ypps! "an emergency gallbladder removal" But thanks for the info. Peter is supposed to be invulnerable to such bodily insults, like the rest of us. I'll have to find or create an appropriate get well card. This could be a challenge. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: Cindy Kallet & Grey Larsen Concert Maine From: Jeri Date: 02 Jan 11 - 05:53 PM I survived, but I'm gonna sleep tonight. I had a great time, and it was wonderful having so many folks there. I told Jacqui that intermission milling about felt a bit like Trafalgar Square on New Year's Eve--one could stand still and still be carried somewhere else in the room. I absolutely HATE crowds like that, but I was fine with that particular crowd, in that particular place. The music was sublime. Much of the performances felt a bit private, but the best music I've ever heard is about love, and intimacy masquerading as mind-reading, generosity, kindness, and humor, which combines and flows out as audible joy. In a welcoming home, with no sound system, you get to hear just how achingly exquisite voices and instruments can be. I'm sorry some folks I expected didn't or couldn't make it. Music after: I mostly listened. I really have to learn some songs. I haven't been trying because I don't have anywhere to sing them, but I miss having a repertoire at times like last night. I enjoyed listening to everyone else, and joining in when appropriate. Thanks to Cindy and Grey, and thanks to Jacqui and SINSULL who persevered despite her terminal status. I'm glad YOU survived too! |
