Subject: RE: BS: Distopian World Cup From: Stilly River Sage Date: 11 Jun 26 - 10:10 AM So far stories I've heard about it have to do with how much the organization hopes to make selling tickets and merch. Even as the Drumpf administration does everything it can to make things difficult for international visitors. The stadium in LA is set for games and the folks there have contingencies for if ICE tries to arrest employees working the event. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: cujimmy Date: 12 Jun 26 - 04:32 AM The Satanic one intends to attend the Scotland games - "what could possibly go wrong", He attended the NBA final in NY a few days ago, his security squad took up a significant area of the stadium and ordinary fans had to move from their seats. There were private security men patrolling a wide area outside the stadium, stopping people in the street etc. He is not very popular in most countries but more especially in Scotland after what he did to people in Aberdeenshire near his golf course trying to force them to move away from the area. Ive got a friend over there and he will be at all the Scotland games so he will relate to me the welcome they will give him - the clap over the head with a shovel if they can get near enough. |

Former player into my thirties, life-long fan of Leeds United right back to the Revie days, saw England win in 1966, but I’m finding it almost impossible to be interested in this World Cup. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: cujimmy Date: 16 Jun 26 - 04:48 PM Have you been listening to all the anti Trump songs, ie from England fams, Scotland fans, Austrailian Fans + others. Has anyone got any sympathy for him - sniffer dogs have been used against Uraguaian team, Iran team had to relocate to Mexico and then leave imediately after their game in LA against NZ, Somalian referee refused entry, other pfficials and fans refused entry. Yet the fans have been wonderfull, mixing together and having a great time. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: r.padgett Date: 18 Jun 26 - 02:42 AM Well such apathy England 4 Croatia 2 imv England too much defensive push about with backs and goalie who was out of his area far too much first half ~must have been the heat caused lack of interest! Half time England manager seems to have read the riot act ~ and second half pushed forwards with purpose ~ Kane, Bellingham with sub Rashford scoring that's from memory England fans celebrating with gusto ( he's a nice lad) IF we win the tournament ~ fans will have increased GDP of the area Ray |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: keberoxu Date: 28 Jun 26 - 10:06 AM Well, as to the Scots, at least the "Tartan Army" thoroughly enjoyed themselves in Boston when games were played there; they almost literally drank the town dry, running around in their kilts. I wasn't there, I just read about it in the Boston Globe. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: Gorgeous Gary Date: 04 Jul 26 - 04:32 PM I've seen a few articles that suggest those who made it across the oceans/borders and past whatever U.S. Customs and Border Protection station they had the misfortune to pass through are having quite an enjoyable time and feeling welcomed. Apparently some World Cup visitors are going quite crazy over Ranch dressing as it's not something they've encountered as a salad dressing in Europe, Africa, etc. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: Backwoodsman Date: 06 Jul 26 - 02:25 AM The reversal of Balogun’s suspension is a perfect indicator, if one were needed, of how deep the corruption goes within FIFA. Shameless, and utterly shameful. Wonder what kind of bung Infantino received from the fat, ugly, orange bastard. Congratulations to England on what sounds to have been a great win. Mrs. Backwoodsperson and I were in the Land of Nod, safely tucked up in bed (she has to be up at 05:45 for work) but the SkyQ box recorded it, and we will watch it tonight. Going out to buy the (0% alcohol) beers this morning… |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: Aethelric Date: 06 Jul 26 - 07:38 AM I believe that for the USA matches henceforth the referee will be in constant communication with the president, and as a nod to the USA's national sport their players will be allowed to use baseball bats. |

Subject: RE: BS: World Cup From: Backwoodsman Date: 06 Jul 26 - 09:26 AM Spotted in my FB Feed just now… ”So I guess now everybody wants to see the US men's soccer team lose because Trump is now using his power to cheat for their benefit. I feel bad for the players. They didn't want any part of this. Now everything they achieve will be tainted. That gross pedo rapist ruins everything he touches. He's a human cancer.” Absolutely spot-on, couldn’t have put it better myself. |
