Subject: RE: BS: Weather. New thread as of March 16, 2010 From: Donuel Date: 03 Dec 25 - 07:18 AM This is an El Niño year, so expect a more severe winter. Have a cache of supplies including food and water in your vehicle. For me it was nuts and chocolate as a precaution. Emergency supplies are up to you. Choose wisely. |

New thread as of March 16, 2010 From: Stilly River Sage Date: 03 Dec 25 - 11:34 AM If New England is getting snow this week I expect soon to see photos of my brother's grandchildren visiting his home in New Hampshire. He has five acres on a hill with a great sled run for kids of all ages. |

Subject: RE: BS: Weather. New thread as of March 16, 2010 From: keberoxu Date: 11 Dec 25 - 07:04 PM Mention has been made of the flooding in Washington State, which is a national story at this point, I have heard of it in New England. Some areas inland in the US have received a foot of snow or more. My part of New England, close to New York, escaped with little more than six inches of snow. Now it is really cold, so the snow will stay for a while. |

New thread as of March 16, 2010 From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 11 Dec 25 - 08:05 PM Here in the Land of Oz we are heading towards a hotter-than-usual summer - bushfires have already started - Hailstorm batters western NSW as homes destroyed in bushfire - a long way from Sydney, but we've also had fires to Sydney's north, again nowhere near me, but a bit closer - around 80km (50 miles) away. Bushfire season has started |
