Can't find it in imdb...

Or in Google...

Or in the brain of my movie pundit friend...

But I *did* see it, I really did. Only the person I saw it with is dead, so I have no witnesses...

It's set in a British hospice, and there is an American actor like Kiefer Sutherland and Timothy Dalton who are dying. But Dalton wants to live till he dies, and the American is too depressed about dying to live, so Dalton kidnaps him and MAKES him live, and pick up chicks/birds, and suchlike. I remember a scene where the American is too weak to stand so he's trying to lean debonairly on the bicycle that Dalton stole for him, while Dalton chats up 2 British birds...

Very black comedy, very entertaining. I think the word Foxes was in the title, like maybe The Four Foxes or something. Nothing comes up on the Internet, so I'm looking to y'all... Help! Thanks!

I remember reading about a drama he was going to be in, where he was terminal patient. It was probably made in the late-1980s? I see one at IMDb with Anthony Edwards called Hawks. I bet this is it:

Here it is at Amazon

This hidden treasure stars Timothy Dalton and Anthony Edwards as Bancroft and Decker, two patients in a terminal cancer ward in a British hospital. The feisty, deceptively antagonistic Bancroft coaxes Decker out of his self-pitying, suicidal mindset and convinces him to enjoy his remaining days rather than waste away in the cheerless hospital. Thus the duo steal an ambulance, flee England, and head for the brothels of Amsterdam. . .

The sounds a little like "The Bucket List" starring Jack Nickelson and Morgan Freeman that making the rounds right now. But Hollywood wouldn't steal an idea from a British film would they??

Mrrzy, I have seen it too. As I recall, Tim Dalton spent a good deal of time wearing an odd headwrap bandage. It was all very uplifting/ life affirming in a contrived movie sort of way.
And the name of the 1988 film was...Hawks.
Hawks
