Subject: RE: BS: What a scream! Mini-Cerebus! From: john f weldon Date: 30 Oct 08 - 09:38 AM Aggghhh! Does anyone remember the all-to-real precedent for this, about forty years ago? Researchers experimenting with the then-new transplant technology grafted the head of one dog onto the shoulders of another. Photos of the two-headed beast appeared in Life, and it lived for a few weeks.... Thanks for reminding me, Kat! I'll probably wake up screaming for a week! |

Subject: RE: BS: What a scream! Mini-Cerebus! From: wysiwyg Date: 30 Oct 08 - 10:51 AM Our Giac used to regularly dress up her little dog, Emmy, in costumes. Sometimes for Halloween, but more often just for fun. I know that a close friend of theirs took Emmy before Giac passed; I hope she still gets to dress up, because from the pix you could tell the dog LOVED it. ~S~ |

Subject: RE: BS: What a scream! Mini-Cerebus! From: Sorcha Date: 30 Oct 08 - 09:32 PM I'm sorry, but I don't think it's either funny or cute. I also noticed that all but a few of the dogs are VERY small, tiny dogs....a couple of 'pit bulls' and an English bull dog....I didn't see any of what 'I' consider to be 'real dogs' in there. Working, herding, hounds...and I'll bet that it's because MOST of those breeds just won't stand for that nonsense. Bite, rip, tear that stuff OFF. I also don't think it says a lot for the owners sense or senseablities either. It's offensive to their sense of 'dog ness' if you will. I personally would NEVER consider putting a costume on a dog. Sorry, just my personal opinon. |
