Subject: Weather: North East UK From: Jack Blandiver Date: 13 Feb 09 - 11:50 AM So what's it like over there? As bad as we've heard? Planning a jaunt tomorrow from North Lancs on the A68 via Kirkby Stephen. Any advice welcome! |

Subject: RE: BS: Weather: North East UK From: Wolfhound person Date: 13 Feb 09 - 12:48 PM DRiveable in Northumberland. Some minor roads probably best avoided unless you know them well. Froze hard overnight and scheduled to do it again, so icy patches. Did you mean the A66? Paws We had 4" on the coast, probably 6" towards the hills. |

Subject: RE: BS: Weather: North East UK From: Wolfhound person Date: 13 Feb 09 - 03:12 PM There's been a partial thaw today, but it's freezing hard again now. No further snow. Watch out for icy patches, but the main roads should be fine. I haven't heard anything about the A66 over the moors on local news, so I assume it's OK. Have a good trip Paws |
