Subject: Origins: Hank Snow? From: 3refs Date: 15 May 10 - 06:06 PM I know that Leroy Vandyke sang and was(is) "The Auctioneer"! Here come the big "but", didn't Hank Snow sing it too? I've got Hank stuck in my ear, but I can't find a version. |

Subject: RE: Origins: The Auctioneer - Hank Snow? From: Gutcher Date: 18 Nov 10 - 01:06 PM I once heard "The Touch of The Masters Hand" done as a monologue on Radio Eirin back in the early 50s. The performer was called Dinjoe, if I remember rightly, and dollars were replaced by pounds. It certainly made a profound impression on me. Until the links came up on this thread I had never seen it in print and I assumed it was an original composition by the performer. Joe. |
