I'd suggest spending time in Galway and Doolin for the music if you get a chance to go to either or both. There's a great Independent Holiday Hostel called the Peacock Farm run by a delightful English couple named Owen and Rose Barnes outside of Kilarney. It's cheap and off the beaten path. Highly recommend it. |

Killarney tends to be a bit overrun with the tourists (no offence meant there) at some times of year especially, but there's still a great time to be had. And there are all kinds of places in the county still tucked away.
Kerryman jokes are the same ones the English tell about the Irish, and the Americans tell about the Poles. And I believe Canada it's Newfoundland, and Australia its Tsmania. And whoever you tell them about, very very few of them are remotely funny. |

Catherine Teahan has a wonderful voice, and the O'Connor brothers (guitar and fiddle) are hot players. Seems the escalators went out at Shannon Airport the other day.
