I am just wondering if anyone knows these lyrics:

The song is late 70's early 80's, it's got a bit of a funky beat, maybe a bit of R&B as well. It goes "Livin in the ....?, It's a put(or maybe "turn") on".

I know it's not alot to go on at all, but maybe I'll get lucky. It is a pretty well known tune. Thanks alot!!!

If it says "It's a put-on" it must be the Who's "Eminence Front", which is indeed a put-on: they purposely recorded it so that the words "eminence front" sound like a number of other words, including "baby let's f**k".

Hmm - an intentional mondegreen?
