Subject: BS: Rose Marie--a present for her. From: Peace Date: 11 Oct 04 - 01:34 PM Rose Marie has just entered the world. I was wondering if people would be willing to post songs that include her name, poems they might have and care to share, original work that the wee lass might keep when Freda prints off this thread. Thomas the Rhymer, beardedbruce are two writers that come to mind, and the depth of talent that visits the 'cat could no doubt leave a wonderful record of 'art' that maybe could be given to Rose Marie when she becomes a teenager. What do you say? |

Subject: RE: BS: Rose Marie--a present for her. From: Ebbie Date: 11 Oct 04 - 09:48 PM Way back when, Slim Whitman recorded a soaring tune. Unfortunately, hte only words I recall are 'Oh, Rose, my Rosemarie!" |

ROSE MARIE Slim Whitman - 29/07/1955 Oh Rose, my Rose Marie Oh Rose Marie I love you I'm always dreaming of you No matter what I do I can't forget you Sometimes I wish that I'd never met you And yet if I should lose you T'would mean my very life to me Of all the queens that ever lived I'd choose you To rule me my Rose Marie Of all the queens that ever lived I'd choose you To rule me my Rose Marie Of all the queens that ever lived I'd choose you, yes I'd choose you To rule me my Rose Marie. |

Subject: RE: BS: Rose Marie--a present for her. From: John MacKenzie Date: 12 Oct 04 - 04:27 AM Oh Dear, I might suffer for this, but here goes. Marie Rose Seafood Sauce Combine 2 tablespoons mayonnaise with 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup and 2 tablespoons double cream. Add 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a dash of Tabasco (optional). I had a prawn dish at a restaurant called the Chocolate Buddha in Federation Square, Melbourne, and it would have needed double the ingredients specified. Prawns like lobsters they were, yum yum, hope they have them in Sydney too. Giok |
