Went to see this last night. Like all Ridley Scott directed films - it was a visual treat and I would recommend it on this alone.

Anyone else seen it?

Yeah, visuals great as per usual Riddley Scott film, but the story was a bit episodic and unbelievable. Seemed like he was more interested in thinly veiling middle-east politics than in concentrating on the main character - who was way too dreamy/moody.
I'd give it a C+.

You will find there is a lot of God willing things in this film - from both sides. And it is the same God who is willing it. What the men seem to think that God is willing them to do - is to rob, kill and torture each other.

I agree that the main part was a bit weak but the rest of the cast were pretty good fun. There were many holes in the plot certainly and I am not sure how accurate the history was - but I would suggest that folk see it and make up their own mind. There are many that are far worse than this one.
