Just wundering...is it possible to render down big fat horrid cane toads and turn their fat and loathsome bodies into bio fuel.
Biodiesel conversion? methane digester?

Eye of newt
Fat arse of toad,
I likes to squash them
On the road

Keef

Nah, you'll use more fuel rendering them than you'll get from them. Probably. It is worthwhile with Whales, but they only render the blubber. Can you imagine filleting a toad?
But then there's the energy you'll expend catching them, which may keep you fit and flexible, so maybe you should try. Do let us know how you get on.

Some good cane toad traps have now been invented ...... www.abc.net.au/newinventors
I am going to build one and expect to catch at least 10 each night, average weight about 1 Kilo.

Yes they do contain toxins and disposal is therefore a problem, composting may not be a good idea.
The toxins are most likely not persistent and would probably be destroyed in the conversion process.
I dunno if toads have enough fat on them to make it worth while.
If I set up "The Great Toad Refinery" I could get all my neighbors to drop off their toads and scale up to compete with Texaco etc.
I would become the Cane Toad Oil Sheik, save the planet, and become unspeakably rich.
Sounds good to me.
