oh, sad news indeed. Larry used to exhibit at our local festival in Glen Echo, MD. I have an inlaid belt buckle he made of a dulcimer, done in Mother-of-Pearl with the strings & frets all carefully etched in. Larry was a good, pleasant, talented guy.

How sad it was to hear of the passing of one of the world's greatest pearl and abalone artisans, and a great guy, too. Larry did the exquisite inlays on two guitars of mine--a 1980 Gurian (with a modified Whyte Ladie pattern), and a custom-built Ovation 12-string. His attention to detail was unparalleled, and his patience with crazy musician equalled that of Job. He will be sorely missed.
