Bloody light pollution ! Had a quick look out the back , couldnt see a star so thought we had overcast ! In fact the eclipse was well visible ! great stuff ! -And some good piccies , thanks ladies

We saw it clear as a bell. We kept popping outside to have a look and followed it through. I suppose we are very lucky with no light spill whatsoever being in the middle of nowhere on the moors. Street lights? What are those?

Fantastic, best I've ever seen. I was in the middle of Hanley(Stoke-on-Trent), full-on street lights but still perfect to watch. I'm afraid I still havent worked out why it went out at the top but didn't come back at the bottom. And the three dimesional look of the red globe, as opposed to the normal flat disc effect, was astonishing. An axtraordinary experience.

Whenever I wanted to show my little daughters a lunar eclipse it was cloudy with an invisible moon.
Now they are adult and have left the house, so it was a clear sky for the first time here since decennia at such an occasion.
A wonderful sight from all of my balconies!
