A couple of days ago my response would have been, “Probably’, Ray. But now I’m not so sure. A more important question for me would be, “Who will replace him if he goes?”. I don’t see any obvious candidates, and I’m concerned it would be a case of ‘out of the frying pan into the fire’ if he goes. I suspect that Badenough has already worked this out, and it’s the reason she won’t give up bleating about resignation.

One positive to come out of it - If the opposition are so insistent on his resignation he must be doing something right :-D

Quite so, Dave. I think there’s quite a lot of things he’s doing right - keeping us out of Drumpf’s and Netan-yahoo’s illegal war with Iran being not the least of them. If Badenough and Farridge had had their way, we would have been up to our necks in blood and bullets, and spaffing billions on it by now.

There’s an old proverb, “Better the devil you know…” that probably applies here…

Does that include Boris?

Assisted Dying Bill to run out of time ~ Commons voted on 1200 amendments from House of Lords

Sticking point probably on issue of opinion and who is deemed an appropriate person to decide on life or death by other than nature

I do not think Sir Keir being asked to step down is a good thing

May Local Authority Elections outcome will be critical and could be some in fighting as to who replaces him. if needed ~ no best fit falls to mind

Steady ness is needed and Falkland Islands is nothing to do with Big T so he take his 'ook for a start

Better the devil you know ~

I suggest that you compare the mainstream newspapers lack of reporting on the Boris lies to the media frenzy over Mandelson to answer that question, Rain Dog.

Antisemitism ~ not surprising when Netanyahu yes him! Continues his assault on Lebanon and Iran now is it

Netanyahu continues to fight wars for what?

The current arracks in London and other parts of the World imv are as a direct consequence of attacks from Netanyahu

We are blaming police ~ why is that?

Politicians ~ up against Big T who was goaded initially by Netanyahu

Similarly cross channel efforts to stop? Caused by other countries inability to stop cross European countries without being stopped

WE are the bucket that these measures fall

Keir Starmer: an honest man* in an era of bullies and bullshitters. Today's New World front cover portrays him as Saint Sebastian in mid-martyrdom, suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous tabloids.

* For sufficiently political values of "honest".
