ahhh! thanks for the clarification LH. meself, I prefer Krispy Kreme, nigh on impossible to get in the UK and ludicrously expensive.

Ah, but Krispy Kreme are gaining a foothold.. there are a couple in London, one in the Bluewater shopping centre and one at Stanstead Airport... those are the ones that I know of... not that I eat doughnuts, no.. nor donuts either....

(by the way, don't take the big chocolate iced round ones unless you like eating cold custard - it's a cruel trick to play on someone expecting jam... especially one who hates custard).

I like the adverts which proclaim that "Nothing is better than our product".
So much so that I immediately go out and buy.............nothing. :-)

The great Japanese Reisen (Zero fighter) was called the Navy type "Zero" fighter because its design was completed in the year ending in zero on the Japanese calendar. Had the design been completed in the following year, for example, it would have been the Navy type 1 fighter instead.

It was the by far best naval fighter of its day, and possibly the best fighter, period, as of December '41 and through till late '42. Its superiority over the Allied aircraft ended when more powerful American fighters like the Grumman Hellcat and the Vought Corsair were introduced in the Pacific theatre.

I've always wondered if the phrase "to zero in on something" derived from the deadly activities of that plane in the early years of the war in the Pacific.

Nothing Was Delivered
by Bob Dylan

Nothing was delivered
And I tell this truth to you
Not out of spite or anger
But, simply because it's true
Now you must provide some answers
For what you sell has not been received
And the sooner you come up with them
The sooner you can leave

Nothing is better, nothing is best
Take care of your health and get plenty of rest

Nothing was delivered Just what you had in mind
When you made everybody pay
Now I hope you won't object to this
Giving back all of what you owe
And the sooner you come up with them
The sooner you can leave

Nothing is better, nothing is best
Take care of your health and get plenty of rest

Nothing was delivered
But I can't say I sympathise
With what your fate is going to be
Yes, for telling all those lies
No, nothing was delivered
Yes, and someone must explain
That as long as it takes to do this
Then that's how long you'll remain

Nothing is better, nothing is best

I realized after posting lyrics for "Nothing Was Delivered" that there were some glaring errors....Here's what I believe to be the correct lyrics....

Nothing Was Delivered

Nothing was delivered
And I tell this truth to you,
Not out of spite or anger
But simply because it's true.
Now, I hope you won't object to this,
Giving back all of what you owe,
The fewer words you have to waste on this,
The sooner you can go.

Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty of rest.

Nothing was delivered
But I can't say I sympathize
With what your fate is going to be,
Yes, for telling all those lies.
Now you must provide some answers
For what you sell has not been received,
And the sooner you come up with them,
The sooner you can leave.

Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty rest.

(Now you know)
Nothing was delivered
And it's up to you to say
Just what you had in mind
When you made ev'rybody pay.
No, nothing was delivered,
Yes, 'n' someone must explain
That as long as it takes to do this
Then that's how long that you'll remain.

Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty rest.

DG
