Well, after weeks of faux campaigning, posturing and spending $1m/day of public money on advertising Coalition policies, Little Johnny's finally decided to call it.

I guess that means Costello, but we aren't allowed to vote on it, presumably because we might get it wrong.

The Prime Minuscule's choice of 24th means that my 2 best helpers will miss a great night of chorus singing at our folk club! They will be even busier on election night than they have been the past few months doing stuff for the Greens.

Of course if little johnnie had chosen the previous Saturday an entire Bush Dance would have needed to move to another venue as the Hall is always used for voting. Affordable Halls that take 50-100 dancers, with parking & kitchen facilities are rarer than honesty & compassion in a Minuscule heart.

Howard is offering $34 billion in tax cuts.

That should buy a few votes.

hopefully only a few as lots of folks want hospitals upgraded, rather than tax cuts, but I can't find the survey/s that gave this result!

Lots of union activity reminding people to ensure that, by tonight, they are correctly enrolled to vote.

Heard an interesting piece on Radio National describing the lack of consultation outside the 'inner circles' of political decision-makers and its replacement by "command line" decision making on policies and their implementation.

That could make for an interesting differentiation between the major parties.
