Well, well, well...

Well, I thought I had a clean recording of the song but it wasn't all that clean but...

... I found another cassette of it which is clean... Okay, it's 15 years old so I'm sure there is some stuff that ain't quite as crisp as it once was but...

...if anyone has a CD recorder and would like to covert it to CD and maybe a burn a few copies for anyone who would like to hear it then I'd sho nuff mail the cassette to ya' and let you have at it... I'd just like a CD of it for myself...

wilbyhillbilly can do a bang-up, clean-up purr-feh-shun-awl job of it for a very reasonable price which I am sure we'd all be happy to chip in for...he's done some bang-up work for me and my brother. Has samples of what he did with my dad's home recording on his website at VinylTransfer.

if you have a decent cassette player, and a recent version of windows or mac os, you can probably make it into an mp3 yourself.

I'm not really sure what you want done. Just the hiss taken off one song. I could probably do that. You could probably do it yourself with stuff you can download for free off the internet.

Do you know how to make an mp3 of the track and e-mail it to me?

Kat didn't actually volunteer, GUEST... She gave me a link to a guy in UK who does this kinda stuff for ca$h...

As for the song, I have some good news... I found some stray CD's last night in a box and the song is on one of them...

I have an old Sony CD player/recorder that doesn't work anymore so I'm trying to find another one on ebay so that I will be back in business...

And, no, Big Al... MP3 is way over my head but...

...seeing as my step son and his new wife will be here for a few months I'm sure that one of them can bring my challenged self across the bridge into the 21st century...

...'er not???

Think I'll see how I make out on ebay... If there is one thing that I do understand is older technology and I happen to have an instruction book for the Sony that I'm going to bid on... Hopefully I can get it for the $100 that the P-Vine has okayed...

If not, it will be snail mail to the UK...

Thanks... I'll keep ya' postercated...
