A major contender in the World Cup is the heat.

So far stories I've heard about it have to do with how much the organization hopes to make selling tickets and merch. Even as the Drumpf administration does everything it can to make things difficult for international visitors. The stadium in LA is set for games and the folks there have contingencies for if ICE tries to arrest employees working the event.

I'm not a big soccer fan but between the trump Administration and FIFA, two of the most corrupt entities in existence, I've lost all interest.

The Satanic one intends to attend the Scotland games - "what could possibly go wrong", He attended the NBA final in NY a few days ago, his security squad took up a significant area of the stadium and ordinary fans had to move from their seats. There were private security men patrolling a wide area outside the stadium, stopping people in the street etc. He is not very popular in most countries but more especially in Scotland after what he did to people in Aberdeenshire near his golf course trying to force them to move away from the area. Ive got a friend over there and he will be at all the Scotland games so he will relate to me the welcome they will give him - the clap over the head with a shovel if they can get near enough.

What about recreating the Cerne Abbas Giant in his golf course, to show him what the locals think of him?

”between the trump Administration and FIFA, two of the most corrupt entities in existence, I've lost all interest.”

Me too, Gilly. Former player into my thirties, life-long fan of Leeds United right back to the Revie days, saw England win in 1966, but I’m finding it almost impossible to be interested in this World Cup.

both Jimmy Greaves and Brian Clough condemned Revies style of football. I never saw them play live and only have seen clips, so do not really have an opinion.
I do like to see matches with plenty of goals, but I get fed up with players diving

From what I've seen so far, the USA team is head and shoulders above most.

They were a pleasure to watch. Unfortunately we (Australia) are in the same group and meeting them next.

Everything crossed for us!

Cheers

Have you been listening to all the anti Trump songs, ie from England fams, Scotland fans, Austrailian Fans + others. Has anyone got any sympathy for him - sniffer dogs have been used against Uraguaian team, Iran team had to relocate to Mexico and then leave imediately after their game in LA against NZ, Somalian referee refused entry, other pfficials and fans refused entry. Yet the fans have been wonderfull, mixing together and having a great time.

Well such apathy

England 4 Croatia 2

imv England too much defensive push about with backs and goalie who was out of his area far too much first half ~must have been the heat caused lack of interest!

Half time England manager seems to have read the riot act ~ and second half pushed forwards with purpose ~ Kane, Bellingham with sub Rashford scoring that's from memory

England fans celebrating with gusto ( he's a nice lad) IF we win the tournament ~ fans will have increased GDP of the area

as a football fan (partick thistle season ticket) i wasn't looking forward to the world cup given the malign influences of trump, capitalism and fifa, however, people and players have interfered -again - and brought life and joy to the event. id forgot that this may be my last chance to enjoy watching the french, spanish, moroccans, japanese and others. and the scotland fans winning of course. - love football - hate racism!

Qatar phoned it in and Canada took advantage. Hell of a thing to happen to Ismael Kone, though.
