Doug. You are demonstrating an extreme ignorance of Canadian politics. Minority governments last maybe a year to a year and a half. The Conservatives have to get about 30 votes from other parties in order to enact any law. Think about it. Canada has had Conservative governments before--and Liberal, and Conservative, and Liberal.

Your cutsie remarks just say you really don't know a damned thing about our system of government or the political 'state' of this country.

64% voted liberal, Doug. Eat that. ;-) No, I don't mean they voted for the Liberal PARTY...I mean they voted for the 4 parties that are all basically liberal in nature. The other 36% voted for the one party that is basically conservative in nature, the Conservative Party.

As for our Conservatives, they make your Republicans look like Mussolini in comparison.

This country, like Europe, is basically so liberal, Doug, that if you ever got a real taste of it, it would boggle your mind.

Our politicians do not boast of their military credentials when running for office. Never heard of here. That's a habit only found in conquering empires and incipient dictatorships.
