Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: John MacKenzie Date: 27 Jan 12 - 05:44 PM As I said, and it disappeared. I would never have opened this thread under it's present (new) title g. There are many threads I never open because the title is indicative of the content being of no interest to me. On the other hand, there was a thread upstairs about a demon lover in New England, or was it Maine? Anyway, I opened that thinking it was about Kendall, only to be disappointed! |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 27 Jan 12 - 08:49 PM Is this bad news for the gals on CNN? Their anchors ( the gals don't look like one) cross their legs and the skirt is a little above the knees. One can watch their legs when the stories are dull. Are good legs a requirement for gals doing tabloid 'journalism' on television? |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: GUEST,josepp Date: 28 Jan 12 - 02:49 PM Methinks most of the people on this thread are too old to be able to do much of anything with their bodies that doesn't cause them serious pain. Beyond that, this thread is completely stupid. |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: gnu Date: 28 Jan 12 - 03:06 PM I think he made his point quite aptly as he often does. The nerves that controls his larynx and his asshole are crossed. At least it's thread related. Now, as to how such severe damage can occur and reoccur, I dunno if the medical community has an answer. >;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: gnu Date: 30 Jan 12 - 03:45 PM I doubt if that will help my brain work any better, G... some things, ya just can't fix after they deteriorate too much. |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: gnu Date: 03 Feb 12 - 05:18 PM To get away from some of the pain and get some more sleep, I slept in the late hours (4 to 6AM) on my right side with my left knee against my right leg just below my right knee for the past several nights. SOB! Shooting pain spasms right where the doc stuck a needle in my leg. Apparently, if you sleep on your side, you're supposed to put a pillow between your legs. This will also help prevent the recurrence of the Satanic nerve pain (hurts like the devil) I have been experiencing over the last two days. Anything else that's simple and possibly common knowledge that I should know about? |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: John MacKenzie Date: 03 Feb 12 - 06:05 PM Well here's a suggestion. Take 2 aspirin and a warm milky drink before you go to bed, and let me know how much better you feel in the morning. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: JennieG Date: 04 Feb 12 - 12:11 AM I'm always a wee bit dubious about the pillow between the knees idea....that's fine if you stay in the one position all night, but who does? Don't we all move around in our sleep? It might start off between the knees then probably ends up around the feet. Cheers JennieG |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: gnu Date: 04 Feb 12 - 02:19 PM JennieG... better than having your spine out of whack. The pillow keeps your spine more straight. Recommended by docs and physioterrorists. |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: gnu Date: 09 Feb 12 - 03:35 PM Two weeks and the strength I have regained is impressive. I am talkin near 50%! Even tho the muscle is still very flat at about 20% of ths size it should be. The foot fall (foot drop) is abating well at nearly 50%. |

Subject: RE: BS: Don't cross your legs - nerve damage From: GUEST Date: 10 Feb 12 - 07:13 AM Crossing the legs is bad for circulation I was warned about that when I had my son. But then as soon as the nurse left the room I would cross them again (rebel me). I can't say that it has done anything in particular and didn't even get varicose veins. |
