Subject: BS: Tony's New Guitars. From: Rusty Dobro Date: 26 Jun 07 - 05:02 AM As Tony Blair prepared to leave No 10, he was given a guitar from his chum Governor Schwarzenegger, and another, an acoustic, from his Cabinet colleagues. Anyone know what guitars they were? If the Cabinet gift reflects the gratitude and admiration which his colleagues have for him, I would guess it might be an entry-level Crafter. |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony's New Guitars. From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 26 Jun 07 - 01:06 PM In the picture accompanying THIS ARTICLE, he's playing a decidedly non-Fender Stratocaster. I can't read the maker's name, but it could be from any one of a number of higher-end builders who've done their versions of the Fender classic. It may be the guitar Ahnald gave him, or it could just be a file photo. Who knows? |

Subject: RE: BS: Tony's New Guitars. From: pdq Date: 26 Jun 07 - 11:12 PM Bee-dubya-ell, If you don' have it already, you need to get Bill Kirchens "Hammer Of The Honkey-Tonk Gods". The title track is his ode to the Fender Telecaster. He is often pictured with a Strat. The man is the top Fender-slinger working today and this album includes some great song he wrote. {nothing to do with this thread, but the thread sucks so who cares} |

From: Rusty Dobro Date: 27 Jun 07 - 06:12 AM The future No 1 Middle East Peace Negotiator (ROFLMAO and crying at the same time) might just be packing a Martin D28 in his luggage ready to give a moving rendition of 'The Times They Are A-Changin' to the people of Basra, and 'the thread sucks'! Fie on you! |
