I suppose he's trying to bash the Dems in Congress, but unsuccessfully. Definitely comes off as Bush-bashing.

Ha.... "the original maverick"... wot a laugh. Sounds like he's trying to out-cowboy the cowboy. Unfortunately for Mickey C it points up the fact that he's older than the cowboy (and hence "the original").

I suppose when you guarantee more wars for many more years it comes off as being refreshingly more transparent and honest than Bush who said in 1999 the US will not be the police force of the world.

(but in a way maybe he was right, we are now the war criminals of the world)

I have compared the straight talker to the Texas 'talker'.

When you compare vomit to an equal pile of poop, the vomit may not look as offensive...but the smell still remains.

I was just talking about this ad.

I'm hoping against hope that its the start of a trend. I'd enjoy a contest between the john McCain of 2000 and Obama. I think such a campaign would make either man a better President by actually hashing out some issues.
