Subject: RE: BS: Serius Satellite Radio From: gnu Date: 30 Oct 09 - 06:54 PM Link no go for me. (fixed-JRO) I listened to it today.... comedy stuff... they kept saying their station was available on Serius 103 and XM whatever... so I guess no merger. I think it was 103... Foxworthy? redneck radio.... it was hilarious. If I was driving a lot, I would consider buying it for the comedy stations. |

Subject: RE: BS: Serius Satellite Radio From: artbrooks Date: 30 Oct 09 - 07:17 PM My satellite TV gets a number of XM radio stations. The one called "The Village" has a decent folk mix. |
Subject: RE: BS: Serius/Sirius Satellite Radio From: Joe Offer Date: 30 Oct 09 - 07:24 PM Yes, I do believe Sirius and XM merged - on July 29, 2008, to be exact. I had one or the other of these services on the radio of a rental car a while back, and I was impressed with the variety folk music available on the service. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: BS: Serius/Sirius Satellite Radio From: Big Mick Date: 31 Oct 09 - 10:09 AM I have XM in my car (came with it), and I have a Sirius portable that can go from car to house. I bought that when I was flying or driving all over the States all the time. I love knowing that I am not going to fall prey to fading signals, or being at the mercy of local programming when I am in the middle of nowhere. There is a huge variety of choices, virtually every kind of music, talk, sports event, it's all there. The cost is very reasonable. I pay the XM annually. I purchased a lifetime contract on the Sirius. I am very pleased with it and find it well worth the cost. All the best, Mick |
