Subject: BS: Kodak's reactor From: Newport Boy Date: 15 May 12 - 04:58 AM Interesting news report here I particularly liked "According to the company, no employees were ever in contact with the reactor. Apparently, it was operated by atomic fairies and unicorns." Phil |

Subject: RE: BS: Kodak's reactor From: JohnInKansas Date: 15 May 12 - 08:00 AM Not a particularly mystical occurance, nor is the "secrecy" about it really suspicious as the Fed has had a real "attitude" about any public knowledge of experimental uses of radiation materials and/or methods for decades. How many people knew about the Brookhaven lab that built the first bombs? (And have you looked at where that lab was located?) John |

Subject: RE: BS: Kodak's reactor From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 15 May 12 - 09:48 PM I doubt a "journalist" who would include a smart-assed line like "Apparently, it was operated by atomic fairies and unicorns," is an impartial source of unbiased news. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kodak's reactor From: Janie Date: 16 May 12 - 07:46 PM For the record, Kodak did not have a nuclear reactor. They did have a very small amount of highly enriched uranium. They had built a device that emitted radiation and they were using the radiation emissions in projects and experiments. The amount of enriched uranium they possessed was not sufficient to sustain a nuclear reaction even if they had wanted to. While there are legitimate concerns in this day and age about the security of what are apparently many small amounts of weapons grade uranium legally and commercially owned by various business enterprises, let us refrain from sensationalism and keep our facts straight. |

Subject: RE: BS: Kodak's reactor From: Bill D Date: 16 May 12 - 07:50 PM " refrain from sensationalism "?? And take all the fun out of spinning the news? |
