Subject: Lyr Add: THE KING AND I (Fred Koller) From: Roger in Baltimore Date: 20 Oct 99 - 08:13 PM I learned this song off the CD. In concert, Fred does an additional verse that includes a line like "I saw Elvis Presley and Woody Guthrie". Anybody know that verse?

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The King and I (Fred Koller) From: Jim Dixon Date: 20 Oct 07 - 07:28 AM Allmusic.com says THE KING AND I was written by John Gorka and Fred Koller--a one-off collaboration, apparently. As far as I can tell, John Gorka hasn't recorded it, but Billy C. Wirtz did. It's on his album "Sermon from Bethlehem," and it's on Fred Koller's album "Songs from the Night Before." Maybe this information will be useful to somebody. |
