There are those who say that Jesus was Jewish but a friend of mine argues that Jesus was Irish. As proof he cites the following. 1.He never got married. 2.He never had a steady job. 3.He went out drinking with the boys the night before he died 4.His last request was for a drink. 5.He lived with his parents until he was 29. 6. He thought his mother was a virgin, and she,God bless her, thought he was the saviour of the World. Has he got a point??.Would his theory stand examination? What do you, think?.

He well might have been, notice that I am Irish, have the same initials and I guess I must have looked liked him when I had longer hair and a full beard, because one night I got thrown out of a pub, a few minutes later I tried to re-enter and the barman exclaimed " Jesus Christ is it you again?"

In the same vein, but a little more extensive:
Scholars in Rome recently had a heated theological debate on the subject of Jesus' ethnicity. Here are some of the more convincing arguments:

Three Proofs that Jesus was Mexican:
1. His first name was Jesus.
2. He was bilingual
3. He was always being harassed by the authorities

Three Proofs Jesus was Black:
1. He called everybody "Brother"
2. He liked Gospel
3. He couldn't get a fair trial.

Three Proofs Jesus was Jewish:
1. He went into his father's business
2. He lived at home until he was 30
3. He was sure his Mom was a virgin, and his Mom was sure he was good.

Three Proofs Jesus was Italian:
1. He talked with his hands
2. He had wine with every meal
3. He used olive oil

Three Proofs Jesus was a Californian:
1. He never cut his hair
2. He walked around barefoot
3. He started a new religion

Three Proofs Jesus was Irish:
1. He never got married
2. He was always telling stories
3. He loved green pastures

But perhaps most convincing, compelling evidence...
Three Proofs that Jesus was a Woman:
1. He had to feed a crowd at a moment's notice when there was no food
2. He kept on trying to get the message across to a bunch of men, who JUST DIDN'T GET IT!
3. Even when He was dead, He had to get up because there was more work for Him to do.

You will notice that no one ever claims that Jesus was an Englishman. Why??
Because in England, where would they find three wise men, and a virgin! :o)

Crazy Eddie, its probably more likely he would be still politely and diffidently waiting, clearing his throat, for some quiet to begin the Sermon on the Mount,,
