After seeing the concern on the Forum regarding the whereabouts of 9ohn of Hull, I could not help wondering whether all is right with Bob and Glenda. Bob always struck me as probably the closest transatlantic spiritual counterpart to J of H.

I miss his posts. He was never a man to use one word where none would suffice, but his genuine love of the guitar always struck a responsive chord with me. I do know he had his problems, and I hope they did not prove too much to bear.

If you are still out there Bob, let us know. If anyone else has any news of Bob, good or bad, perhaps they might want to share it.

If I remember correctly, Bob53 was flamed savagely on this forum, and more than once. I wouldn't hang around either after being treated like that.

Bob is a coin collector. He doesn't care about mint, condition or anything else but he had a Wish List that includes several nickels. I found them and sent them to him along with several "wheat pennies" so when I found about 6 more wheat pennuies and one tin penny I sent them to him.

BTW, he did come back briefly after the flame episode but not often.

When I last heard from Glenda, they were both busy getting their lives on track, and as some of you know that can be a pretty tall order. I think that it is safe to say that if Bob felt that Mudcat was a good place for him to be right now, he'd be here. I know that as someone who liked and cared about them, I found the flames directed his way very painful, and I am not sure that Bob ever realized how they came about or why. Anyway, Glenda knows where I am if she wants to talk, and I think it's best just to hold a good thought (or prayer) for them, and wish them the best-- whether we *see* them here or not.

He also started the "left hand ruined" thread and is currently having surgery, though we don't know details. Wish him well -
