Here's a quote from Nader from the Oct 18 issue of The Nation about what he calls "the most amazing unconditional surrender by the left in decades":

If the left does not exert pressure on Kerry, the only pull he is going to feel will be from corporate interests. If the left does not make Kerry better, he gets worse. He moves to the right. Now that would be an interesting scenario, wouldn't it? A bunch of genius tech-weenies decide that they want Nader as president, and they override the Bush machine's fix on the voting machines and get Nader elected. And if the rumour that exit polls are being outlawed is true, and with the voting machines' inability to provide a paper trail, The Bush and Kerry people would never be able to prove that Nader wasn't elected fair and square.
