Pretty blanket statement. I don't think so. Feingold is not the only progressive on the planet.

Feingold is one of less than a handful of progressive Democrats still in the US Senate.

And after you finish counting them on one hand, you'd still have fingers that remain uncounted.

He's entitled to a life, I suppose, but I hope he still keeps working hard in the Senate for sanity in the insane world that the Bush Administration has created.

The only senator with the guts to take a stand early on, and vote against the Patriot Act. The first time around, when everyone was screaming for blood vengeance for 9/11.

Not even Wellstone showed that kind of guts, integrity and courage.

Surely "guts, integrity and courage" would be likely rule one out of ever being selected for any leading role in any country, except in exceptional circunmstances.
