Subject: BS: Happy Birthday Dad! From: 3refs Date: 31 Jan 07 - 09:57 AM Today January 31, 2007 would have been my Dad's 90th birthday(he died April 7, 1963). He passed away at age 46(two yrs yonger than I am now) in the same house where he was born(as was I) in Copper Cliff, Ontario(Sudbury). Spent 30 years working for INCO as a machinist(the last 13 of those years spent on two artificial legs he made himself). He was quite a man! So! Here's to you Harry Edmunston R---r! |

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Birthday Dad! From: 3refs Date: 31 Jan 07 - 11:38 AM "Why is it we miss our Dads more when they are gone?". I was only 5 when my Dad passed away(my brothers were 15 and 17), so all I can do, or could ever do, was miss him. My Mother never remarried or even had a steady. She always replied when I asked why "Your Dad had pretty big shoes to fill(even though he had no feet) and nobody ever came close". Not to mention the three of us(brothers) were......well, something! |
