Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Donuel Date: 02 Mar 26 - 06:49 AM The genius masterful military tactician of Herr Trump has launched his lightning war for an extended period of time, which is said to be a month. He claims to Let's Make a Deal as the war is now a regional multinational war. Deals are not usually forthcoming as hardliners strengthen their revenge, and Trump spitballs his way into more quagmires. Hail Trump as our Supreme Leader. Perhaps elections should be canceled in times of war? btw Trump is not bald since he had the bald area surgically removed and sewn together, stretching the scalp that still had minimal hair. |

While not for public information, one outcome of this war will limit cheap oil for China. Back home, we already see the rocket-feather effect. In war, oil prices will rocket up rapidly, but later prices will float down slowly like a feather. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Nigel Parsons Date: 02 Mar 26 - 10:14 AM Donuel: Asimov wrote: The Foundation series (specifically Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation) is frequently compared to the Trump administration, with the character of The Mule seen as a parallel for a disruptive, anti-establishment force that breaks predictable historical trends. As a mutant who controls emotions, the Mule resembles a populist leader breaking a Constitutional political trajectory. Asimov wrote nothing of the sort. Isaac Asimov (one of the founders of modern science fiction) died in 1992. The first Trump Presidency started in 2017. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Stilly River Sage Date: 02 Mar 26 - 10:32 AM I suspect Don's sentence should read "Asimov wrote The Foundation series (specifically Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation) [that] is frequently compared to the Trump administration, with the character of The Mule seen as a . . . without the punctuation and line break making it look like an attribution. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Stilly River Sage Date: 02 Mar 26 - 11:51 AM Satirist Andy Borowitz posted this today: WASHINGTON—Calling it “maybe the greatest honor in the world, quite frankly,” Donald J. Trump said on Monday that the International Criminal Court in The Hague has invited him to receive an award. He also shared this (I've gone to the original post, not the Facebook copy of it) Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s assassination will likely backfire. Here is why by Daoud Kuttab |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: MaJoC the Filk Date: 02 Mar 26 - 12:49 PM "Brilliant," says Herself. I am requested and required to further quote: "I've been in a filthy temper all day, and that's fixed it." Well found, Stilly. Oh, and I see a cloven hoofprint in Donuel's quote .... that's the sort of error of conflation that an LLM would emit. Go not unto the LLMs for advice, for they shall say both nay and yea, often at the same time. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Helen Date: 02 Mar 26 - 01:26 PM I agree MaJoC. That article referred to by SRS has fixed my dark mood too. It explains the motivations behind the attack on Iran and how it connects to Netanyahu's aims and ambitions, but it also delves into the possible unexpected and unwanted consequences of tRump's rash decisions. (Note: part of my dark mood this week also relates to two different personal situations playing on my mind this week, one recent and one in the past, which I thought were unrelated but may have a deeper connection to each other. That article may have provided some relevant clues. Sorry for being cryptic and for bringing personal issues into this thread.) |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: robomatic Date: 02 Mar 26 - 01:47 PM I am selfishly wondering if Iran's long range missiles can reach central Alaska. I can imagine that the strategic minds of Tehran might contemplate the 'trade' of a pipeline for an oil tanker, but their aim would have to be perfect. Since it's below zero right now, I'm not expecting terrorism. The average street crowd here is better armed than the average terrorist. And there are many Alaskans who are scarier than most terrorists. |

I'll spare you the capslocked drivel, to leave space for a couple of the Comments:
.... I'll shut up now, so others can comment on quite what Tucker Carlson said about Turnip. It ain't nice (in either sense). |
