Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: SINSULL Date: 15 Sep 07 - 04:17 PM Jacqui managed to down some orange ice today and to not insult the chaplain who came to check in on her immortal soul. Once the anesthesiologist gives the OK to stop the Lidocaine drip, she will be moved out of the ICU and into a regular room where she will have her own phone and a laptop. She is worried about the Captain. And asked several times about this thread. She is still looking forward to her first trip out of bed (OUCH!). Also concerned that her hair is a fright - it isn't. All good signs. Seamus is safely asleep on your dog bed. No bones for him! SINS |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: catspaw49 Date: 15 Sep 07 - 04:33 PM What the hell is "Orange Ice?" Seamus didn't have anything to do with it did he?
Glad all is proceeding apace. I have no idea what that phrase actually means but it seemed to fit here............... sorta'....................in a way......................................kinda' ................ |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: John MacKenzie Date: 15 Sep 07 - 04:38 PM Is that a variation on the old saying 'Don't eat the yellow snow' Spaw? |

Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: Alba Date: 15 Sep 07 - 09:01 PM Glad all is going along as it should You mentioned "the chaplain who came to check in on her immortal soul" Sins. Now would that be Holyistik Medicine ? Katlaughing has asked me to pass on her warmest Wishes for a steady recovery to Kendall and she hopes Jacqui gets better by the minute and sends her Love and healing thoughts..*smile* Loads of Love fae me too, Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: kendall Date: 15 Sep 07 - 09:52 PM Jacqui hopes they will let her have her lap top so she can keep up with the goings on in the forum. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: SINSULL Date: 15 Sep 07 - 10:16 PM Kendall - all the cookies? I know for a fact that Jacqui left you a refrigerator full of nutricious food and a gift card to Hannaford's. Orange water ice is sugared water with orange flavoring frozen. I would have preferred the raspberry but Jacqui was grateful for whatever came her way. She has all male nurses looking to her every need - go figure. I had Nurse Ratched who threatened to make me spend the night in my soiled gown when I vomited in my sleep. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: Big Mick Date: 15 Sep 07 - 10:47 PM What the hell is this all about?????? I am away and obviously missed something!! Jacqui, I am not sure what the operation was for, but take the damn meds, woman. I know it takes a certain amount of pigheadedness to live with that ornery, wrinkled ass, old salt, but this should not extend (shut up, Spaw!!) to your meds. They help you heal, as has been pointed out here. Don't make me come over there. Kendall ..... someone had to take care of the dog???? Who you trying to shit here???? Love ya, woman. Mick |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: SINSULL Date: 15 Sep 07 - 10:54 PM Seamus is with me and fine. I gave him liverwurst with his kibble and now he is sighing and farting happily. The cats find him revolting. |

Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: kendall Date: 16 Sep 07 - 06:54 AM Mick, she had a hernia operation. Guess she wasn't kidding when I yelled, "Put your back into it"! My bad. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: SINSULL Date: 16 Sep 07 - 09:58 AM Kendall! CELLAR! Did I mention that Jacqui was watching Return To Witch Mountain with the sound off yeaterday? Says it all. She is now in a regular room and off the Lidocaine. Her Ladyship is complaining about a noisy neighbor who interrupted her sleep last night - a sure sign of recovery. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Sep 07 - 10:32 AM Seamus is with me and fine. I gave him liverwurst with his kibble and now he is sighing and farting happily. The cats find him revolting. .........Much the same could have been said about Kendall. Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: kendall Date: 16 Sep 07 - 09:39 PM Cooked food? I thought that applied to raw stuff like that guy from Africa who brought Elephant meat in and raised hell when they took it away from him. Anyhoo, don't get arrested on my account! |

Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: Jeri Date: 16 Sep 07 - 10:27 PM So I checked, and I was wrong: List of Approved Foods. Sorry about that. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: catspaw49 Date: 16 Sep 07 - 11:19 PM Has anyone mentioned to US Customs that their list makes no sense? In any case, I see that Kendall can renew his supply of Bat Nuts. They must be really tiny......probably not much larger than Kendall's. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: JennyO Date: 16 Sep 07 - 11:28 PM Hope you're feeling much better soon Jacqui. Post-op is no fun, but you're over the worst of it. I wonder how many people read that list of approved foods and spotted the joke? Shamrocks leaves without roots or soil |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Sep 07 - 02:42 PM So how's The Kid doing today? And did Kendall get his Bat Nuts for comparison? Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: kendall Date: 17 Sep 07 - 04:56 PM Spaw old buddy, you have no idea how far out your neck is! You are lucky that I'm a gentleman. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: SINSULL Date: 17 Sep 07 - 06:08 PM I spoke with Jacqui this AM. She may be coming home tomorrow. Seamus is back with the Captain and very concerned about Jacqui's whereabouts. Poor puppy. Misses his Mum. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Sep 07 - 06:38 PM And you left him alone with Kendall? Geeziz Sins........You've obviously taken leave of your heretofore good senses! Don't you remember what happened to the llahma? This could be nasty................... Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: chazkratz Date: 17 Sep 07 - 06:57 PM Spaw's question about the orange ice reflects, no doubt, his (fully justified) fears that everyone has been preserving their contributions for his golden shower. Myself, I'm saving it in an ice tray with toothpicks sticking out so he can have piss-stickles along with the yellow tea bath. Charles |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: TRUBRIT Date: 17 Sep 07 - 09:47 PM Thanks for the approvd food list -- the things you learn on this website!!!!!!!!! I shall just adopt my usual low key habit of bringing in whatever I want and hoping no one asks.........but my wants are pretty innocuous..........(marmite, and lots of chocolate.....) |

Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: kendall Date: 18 Sep 07 - 12:38 PM She called to tell me that she is being discharged around 2 pm today. She has a drain in the incision that has to be dealt with, and guess who gets to do that? No problem, I've drained many a crank case and transmission in my day. |
Subject: RE: BS: Jacqui's operation From: Big Mick Date: 18 Sep 07 - 12:46 PM "crank case"??????????? Methinks the double, maybe triple, entendre whether intentional or unintentional, will cause you to find the cellar as your primary residence for a bit, old buddy..... ***snerk*** Come home well, your grace. Love, Mick |
