Possibly but just in case - they are £5/3 for Old Bridge concerts and £7/5 for the ceilidh. Picturedrome £10 Friday and £15 Saturday and Quicksilver at CragRats £6.
I think that's it.

In reply to Sooz - we don't have such a thing as a weekend ticket.
If you look back a few posts you will find that I have listed the events where tickets are needed (and on sale) and where you can get them.
Get back to me if you need any more help.

Whilst The John Cooper Clarke and Mark Radcliffe and The Family Mahone is nearing a sellout. The Nick Harper isnt doing as well [but its normally a decent ''walkup''...So if you want to go to both concerts, I'll give a £2.00 discount if anyone buys tickets for both nights..May 9 and May 10....this info will not be going anywhere else so if you arrive at the cinema and say ''MUDCAT May 9 and 10'' you will get £2.00 off,.........this is not applicable to the local tourist office.........

The programme hits the streets today.
I remember well the days when we were stapling it together on Friday teatime as the first punters arrived - ah those were the days!
Let's hope nothing much changes between now and May 9th.

And singing voice and hollow legs (stray to The Nook for a brilliant range of real ales) and stamina and smiling eyes and a good heart. Stir well until well sozzled with a fixed smile and no cares in the world and that's the ingredients for a memorable weekend. A weekend not to be missed. You'll love it.

No I do not have massive pair of Carbon Feet. I have a Low Carbon emission Car that can do 50 miles to the Gallon and a solar panel charging my Caravan Batteries when possible I Sail on Tall Ships to shanty festivals. I don't Fly off on foreign parts on package holidays or eat Scottish Salmon which has been flown from Scotland to China to be packaged and then flown back to Scotland to be distributed to shops in the UK and Europe. I also recycle my tea bags once used by giving them to Soldier Boy.

Yes, Tyke, but you will increase the weight and mileage in the car, and hence petrol consumption,by insisting on taking that French woman everywhere.

The only Raw nerve is a Guest posting negativities when all I'm about is promoting Folk Events and Festivals.

I must admit you could be less subtle and posted to every Festival Thread Sorry I can't be with you as my Carbon Foot Print is too large.

As for the French Woman that travels round with me, what goes on is just between us however. I will honestly say that my French Compion has taken me to places that no other woman ever has and we have reach the Highest Plato's together. I can also assure you that Car Sharing is better for the environment in ways you have not even thought of.

Dozy rosy has been very understanding about our relationship as I have been open and honest with her from the start.

If you want to know more you will have to come to Holmfirth FF.

Tyke, you must stop taking the french woman up on the moors to see the sheep. You were so exausted on the way to Hardraw you had to stop for a cup of tea.And nothings raw where Tyke's concerned.Everything goes in that frying pan of his.

Good grief Tyke! What's all this about you and your carbon footprint?
If I recall rightly last year at the Whitby Folk Week you had a small generator buzzing away by your caravan belching out fumes and disturbing the whole campsite! Green my ar.e!
I love you to bits Tyke but you shouldn't tell fibs. Honestly!!

Subject: RE: Holmfirth Festival of Folk

Certainly is.
We don't have a 'ticket'.
Most events are free.
The only gigs you have to pay for are at the Picturedrome,(£10 Friday and £15 Saturday) CragRats, (£5 I think) the Ceilidh (£7) and concerts in the Old Bridge Hotel (£5).
The rest of the stuff in the pubs is free but you will be expected to put your hand in your pockets when buckets are passed among you.
Please come along - we've got the decent weather ordered!

Land of the Summer Wine.
Holmfirth is in West Yorkshire about 6 miles from Huddersfield.

Update on programme - the Saturday night concert with Andi Neate, Roger Davies, Les Barker, Pete Morton, Mike Silver and Johnny Coppin has been put back 30 mins for logistical reasons. So it starts at 7.30 and goes on until 11.30. But still a bloody good concert and all for £5.

The camp site is in good condition and certainly not too dry and hard but equally it isn't too wet either. The hard area near the kids play area is a bit puddly but if the weather stays good that should dry out by Friday.

It is the one that is beside the Co-op car park - where you give blood if you do that.
It will be around 9.00 but it needs to be dark so if darkness falls later than that please assume that it will probably be a little later.

The weather is set fair and the campsite is looking very pretty and comfortable!
Please do not just turn up and expect to get on the site. Space is limited and we don't want anyone to be disappointed. Since the good weather forecast numbers have gone up greatly so do please get in touch and book your space.
