Subject: RE: BS: Breezy's Daughter Beijing Bound From: MMario Date: 12 Aug 08 - 01:11 PM To go to the Olympics is outstanding. To come in 7th is phenomenal, given the competition. To do it with an injury....yes, 'spaw has it right. |

Subject: RE: BS: Breezy's Daughter Beijing Bound From: ClaireBear Date: 12 Aug 08 - 03:04 PM I went to NBC's Olympics site, got the rewults for Group B, then saw a little button that says "Rewind" -- clicked it -- presto! It's four and a half hours of raw weightlifting footage, during which at some point I hope to see Michaela's lifts. Brava! Brava! C |

Subject: RE: BS: Breezy's Daughter Beijing Bound From: ClaireBear Date: 12 Aug 08 - 03:16 PM I can't see JavaScript, but I gather you can go directly to the women's competition by clicking on something. I clicked at random on something I couldn't see above the text/results area and found myself suddenly two and a half hours in, at the beginning of the Group B coverage. |

Subject: RE: BS: Breezy's Daughter Beijing Bound From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Date: 13 Aug 08 - 04:13 AM Breezy, you certainly have one to be proud of. Michaela's performance was the epitome of the dedication, sportsmanship, and pure raw courage that was ONCE the hallmark of the Olympic Ideal. In my book she deserves a gold medal at least as much as any who will actually bring one home. My arms and legs are still aching from pushing that bar up with her. Don T. |

Subject: RE: BS: Breezy's Daughter Beijing Bound From: olddude Date: 13 Aug 08 - 02:46 PM My God what courage. I don't know your family but I can tell you I could not be more proud of anyone ever. She is amazing and has courage that one rarely sees. She is a superstar in my books and has a gold metal in the hearts of all of us here. I watched my daughter crawl across an iron man finish line because she refused to stop 2.2 miles swimming, 112 miles biking, 26.9 miles running all non stop. Finished the race and had to go to the hospital after words. She ran the race sick with a fever but refused to stop. When our kids show this much heart all we can do is be proud of them and know they are the true winners in the hearts and minds of all of us. |
