Tie a yellow gibbon round the old oak tree

Stars and Spots

New Fangled banner

Chicago, Chicago, it's a fairly nice town

When Eddie said he didn't like his oatmeal...

OK, I've finished for now... like someone said, once you start, it's hard to stop....

From the malls of Monteczuma?

Sorry, it crept out

I'm sure I couldn't come up with better than before but it reminds me of my mates song. He played it for me on his piano one night and it was wonderful. The melody was evocative yet relaxing. The harmony lines were wonderful the whole composition was crying out to be a smash hit and I told him so.

"I have sent it to every publisher and they just send it straight back" he complained.

"I'll try them" I said "I'm sure you must be asking the wrong people."

He smiled and handed me the sheet music. I gave it him straight back.

"What's the matter!" he cried.

"'When I'm in love I can't shit' is NOT a good title for a song..."

Cheers

So here's a little set put together from some the gleaned titles

Almost heaven, North Dakota, East of Bismark, green and stagnant
waters...

If I had a backhoe, I could dig it in the morning, I could dig it in the
evening, all over this land. I'd dig up danger, I'd dig up the gas main,
I'd dig up the little tiny cable that carries the phone calls, all over this
land... oh.

This Land Is Their Land, this is not our land, we should give it back
again, give the New York Island, they'll give our beads back, they can
have it all back, this land just wasn't meant for me.

Where have all the eggplants gone?
Gone to ratatouille everyone...

Are you going to the county fair? Ketchup, mustard, pickles, and bun.
Remember you get sick if you ride on the rides. Ketchup, mustard,
pickles, and bun.

Two tons of Mera, or maybe three tons of Mera. What is Mera?

(Hang down your head)
Be of good cheer, Mr. OJ, be of good cheer, says I,
I am your defense lawyer, you will not have to die.

Leavin' on a Jet Ski, don't know when I'll be back again, but you'll
hear me long before, you hate me so.

We're here to drink the Pepsi(and then we'll drink the Coke)
Everybody knows the good times I've seen
Garter snake yippee
Ain't gonna study peace no more
(Don't give a damn about your) Devalued dollar
Mrs. Brown I think your daughters preggers
(I'm) Henry The Seventh
Three morose coachmen
Aloha ow-ee!

Smoke on the puddle

Stepladder to heaven

My hokey cokey heart

It's a long way to trip a fairy

"I am the Wombat,"

"I'm going to leave old Canning Town"

"Lucy in the Sky (with cubic zirconia)"

"American Piecrust"

"I feel s#&tty"

"The Green Door, No, not that one, the one with the brass handle!"

"Almost Anything Goes"

"Rhapsody in Orange"

Of course, there is always the lament for an unwanted pregnancy:
"I should have danced all night"

and the famous 'Cowboy' hymn:
"Bleess This Horse"

Let's not forget those wonderful weepy songs:

All quiet along the Yazoo tonight
The empty stool
Old Fido
Pater, cher Pater, come home with me now
Zelda, don't take your love to town
You picked a bad time to fine me, O'Neill
Gorgeous George, the wrangler
My grandfather's tick-tock

Seated one day at the Mouth Organ
The Harpie that once blew Tara's balls.
The menstrual boy??
Glove is a many Fingered Thing.
Fanny Power cut
I did it sideways
DO Do the motion.
If I were a woodworking operative.
Get your buns in the oven, and your Biscuits in the bed.
Jimmy drank corn

"The doorbell chimed till it rang 29 times
Would ya get that Edmund, it's Gerald..."

Or the song that very nearly won James Keelaghan a Juno...

"Mice Guys"

The less dangerous, but more biting early draft from Fred J Eaglesmith

"Time To Get Some Gum"

Or from when Towns Van Zant thought he was gonna be a baker...

"If I Kneaded You"
