If Max had screwed up his family's Christmas it would have made most Mudcatters feel all mean and exploitative, and that would have messed up our Christmas. Part of the Mudcat magic, I think, is tied up with the feeling that it should never be taken for granted.

We usually have a little down time at Christmas, and a little at deer hunting season. I suspect few of us would begrudge Max having a life of his own at those two times of year.

It's a good idea to look here and bookmark it:

When Mudcat is down, there are usually posts there explaining it. If even the Help forum is down, it's all REALLY broken. The Help forum and the main forum live on different server-computers, so if the main forum server is having trouble, Help usually is up and running.

Ah, it's nice to be home. We don't have much family, so I missed Mudcat. When it was down, I started getting re-addicted to Neopets. Yikes! Thanks for all you do, Max. Merry Christmas & the best of 2005 to you & yours.

Gee Max and today is the day I'm supposed to spend cleaning before my sister in law comes to visit. I guess I'm going to have to use old fashioned will power to get things ready instead of reading Mudcat all day....well, maybe a few well placed breaks will help the day seem less painful....
