I asked Bobert what he wanted as far as the cover and produced what would have been a folding piece to put inside the clear front. The graphics person asked me today if we didn't also want the tray liner? This is the best arrangement, with the song list on the back and the album cover on the front and anything else inside the covers.

When I was working on this I had asked Mr. Bobear about it and he thought it didn't come with one. This is the problem of too many choices and trying to figure out how their order site works. I think it will actually be quite easy - they have template to drop the images and information into (save me making my own document and measuring a CD tray insert here to be sure it's the right size). We should wrap this up tomorrow.

(I'm also getting ready to move a bunch of stuff around in my computer, but in the name of not jinxing everything I'm working on, I'll finish this before the move.)

I'm only mentioning this because if other people are following along and thinking about producing their own disks the way Bobert is, then you may also want to know about the cover process. I am using InDesign to produce the jewel case cover and tray liner and I used Illustrator to produce the CD face itself. The company has templates you can download and use for all of these things.

You sent the material, so it's mostly based upon the photographer's work. Picked up colors from the photos. I've learned a lot with this cover - it seems Illustrator is the better program to use.

The art was sent back to them this morning, so once they send the proof and it's approved, you in production.
