The Beast is displeased.

The Beast owns a strat - though is rarely seen with it in public

You Hull boys are pushing your luck

Vengeance shall be my mine

Take your handbags lads, it looks like we are going to have to fight our way out of Fartington! If you haven't got a handbag, a strat will do just as well.

The menu at Teds' Tapas tent is starting to sound rather strange so far it seems to consist of
Raw bacon (don't you mean Serrano ham)
Bruised squid
Sausage ( in mitigation against the effects of salmonella should this not be salami)
Wot no chips

A pack of hamsters?

Have to say a lot of people over Farlington way are wishing the week away and really looking forward to Friday. Not sure exactly who is coming from here but we should have a good idea after tomorrow night's normal do. I reckon we should end up in the 25-30+ performers at a guess which should keep us going a while.

Looking forward to it.

Nick

True, preferably 'roughly from behind' This is a bit late notice, but we are meeting Nick for a swift half in The Queens at 5.37pm(approx) today if anyone is in the area? Will he ever go back to Fartington after sampling the delights of The Queens? I doubt it!

True. But Nick's head is sure to be turned, think of it from his side of things, he is about to experience clothes, electricity, indoor plumbing, humans, intelligable speech patterns and buildings with roofs!

Subject: RE: Fri. 16th july at Blacksmiths near York

Yeah, but Nick doesn't LIVE in Farlington (officially - obviously the amount of time he spends inthe pub means he could be counted as a resident) - he lives in Sheriff Hutton so is used to such soft options.

So I'll grant you that you have big city living but 'intelligible speech patterns' in a post about Hull?!!!! Pleeeeasse....!

Me,Penny and Sir jOhn from Hull successfully liased with Nick Hayseed at 5.47pm(approx) in The Queens. After several sherries, we put a pair of human trousers on him, sat him on his donkey and sent him back on his merry way to Fartington. He should be arriving there any minute now.

I understand there is already a small queue starting to form outside the curtain in anticipation and to pinch the best seats. (Too late!I've already put my towel there. Yuk, yuk.)

Starting to wonder whether we will need to operate a shift system or perhaps suspend people from the ceiling or walls to accommodate all who want to play and listen.

Or perhaps a system a bit like a Chinese restaurant where as soon as you put your instrument down the next sitting come in.

It will definitely be cosy.

We had a good evening last night to practice and are really looking forward to it from this end.

Lynne (and I) enjoyed Christine and John's CD - thanks very much for it and we'll look forward to complimenting them on it when we see them.

See you on the morrow. Beast has been assigned the job of laying the straw trail from the main road to the pub tonight. We aim to light it about 6.45 tomorrow to guide you all in.
