radio station wpaq,in mt.airy,n.c.,will soon be availble on the world wide web,according to station officials today!
wpaq radio is one of the oldest radio stations that carries live radio shows of old-time and blue grass music,in the usa!
the schedule calls for the sation to begin it's world wide web connection in early april!
the merry-go-round show is performed live each saturday from the downtoewn cinema theater in mt.airy, with local and regional blue grass and old time bands at 11:00 am to 1:30 pm EDT.
it's the longest live radio show in the country dating back to 1948 when the station first signed on the air!
the station is located at 740 on the am dial and broadcast at 10,000 watts clear channel sunrise to sunset each day!

This is some of the best news I've had this year. On my trips from New Jersey to South Carolina, WPAQ has kept me company through most of the way, from mid-Virginia to Charlotte. Thanks, TH for letting us know about this.
